I'm going to buy one of these.

I admit it, I drive a small car. My mesa recto 4x12 doesn't fit in it. I need a stereo 2x12 to play gigs, and I don't want to buy a $500 mesa 2x12 then have to re-wire it stereo. Their 2x12 stereo with 2 celestion v30s is roughly $300, shipped. I was referred to them by a guy on a gear forum. Next month, one of these is mine

Cool!
Are you going to get the ported back or the solid back? I think the solid would be nice with a 7

this space for rent

I keep a Carvin 2x12 around also. I have a small car , and for jam sessions and auditions it's more practical.

I've heard very good things about Avatar cabs... they seem to have really great bang for the buck. EarCandy cabs have recently caught my eye, and they have a lot more custom options than Avatar (but are also more expensive). But since i already have a closed-back, ported 212 with mono/stereo operation, i'm pretty much set.

If anything, i'm considering downsizing my rig, and wouldn't mind picking up a nice tubey 112 combo for jamming around with. A 212 plus a 4-space rack plus a pedalboard is still a lot of gear to haul around to jam.

That's why I just went back to taking the Pod to gigs. I'm getting to old to be lugging all that crap around.

It's subjective, but I don't think it's too much. What is too much is a 12 space shock mount rack, loaded with 120 pounds of rack gear, two 4x12s, 3 guitars, and a pedalboard.

I've been there. I'm not going back

Now my live rig will be:

2 7-string guitars
My pedalboard
2x12 cab
6-space rack

& my backup tracks (a small mixer, MP3 player, and a buddy to operate it)

That's not a bad sized rig.
