Makes sense - they do something similar with the full/tweed power (i think) switch on a Mark-IV

I'm curious to give one of these a go - if the 1x12 combo is semi-affordable and if one of those channels can do the smooth lead thing, that might be enough to make me consider dropping the Nomad...

In fact, the Roadster is a Road King™ without Progressive Linkage™ and other Rear Panel features that some players fear need a higher education to navigate. The Roadster now offers the plug and play minded guitarist a way to enjoy the myriad of footswitchable preamp choices without the power option anxiety.
So, it's a dumbed-down road king, eh? Interesting.

Let's say that's a pretty big "if," though, lol. I've only played a Road King briefly, and liked it enough that I had to unplug before I seriously considered buying one (at $2100 for the head, I was in no hurry, lol). However, even then it wasn't doing a Mark-style lead by any means, and I'd still have to spend some time trying to figure out how to get the Modern channel to sound like what I wanted it to.

That said, I'll definitely give it a try.

I just want to know how much they are lol.
Also, why just the 1X12? Just don't need the power of a 2X12 anymore?

To me, 100W in a 1x12 is an awesome package. It's small enough that you can play small club gigs and rehearse with it, but if you need to push more air, just rent a 4x12 and blast away.

This amp is giving me some SERIOUS GAS. For years i've been wanting a 1x12 closed-back 3+ channel tube combo.
