I've been interested in building guitars for awhile, but I have no tools as I do absolutely no woodworking. This would just be a hobby, I wouldn't start making a whole bunch of guitars for money, basically just for me, and any friends of mine that bought materials. Just how much money does it take to get a decent little setup for a hobbiest luthier? Someone should list the tools that would be needed. I know you need stuff like a router, planer, band saw or something similar...but I don't know anything other than the obvious. I'd like to get some cheap wood to start out and build a guitar or 2. Someone hook me up please. |

They say "and I contoured this with a spokeshave" etc etc, but at the beginning they don't have a complete list of tools needed. I just want something I can put prices too, take to a hardware store and just see how broke I would be after buying all the crap. But that site does kick ass for info and links to other stuff too. |
