Vox Valvetronix

I'm thinking of getting a Vox AD-30VT, mainly for home use. I played around with the 15w model in a store (with a strat) and it seemed really cool. The built in attenuator on the 30w model also sounds good.

Basically I'm planning of running my strat and my 7 into this through a boss me-50 and am looking for opionions on this setup or any realistic alternatives that are worth looking into.

I'll be playing a lot of different stuff in a covers band and my own stuff which is kinda metall-ish.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Sub question - does it matter that this amp doesn't have an fx loop capability?

Hey B3, IMO the Vox Valvetronics are the best digital amps around. They are just simply fantastic..great sounding, versatile amps. I think you would be very pleased. I'm gonna eventually get one for myself for the same use. I highly recommend it. Your setup should work fine.

The Vox Valvetronix range is killer! You might also wanna look into Tech 21, specially the Trademark 30. Those are extremely sweet sounding too, some say even better than the Vox. Plus you can use them for direct recording too. Though i don't know wether both these amps could do metal though (i've heard the Spider II can ), maybe some1 else cld fill me up on tht.

They actually have a Tube Pre Amp. I dont think it can stand up to a lould live setting. Seeing as it does have a low wattage (Relatively) Solid Power Section

Glory and praise to Thee, Satan, on high,
Where Thou didst reign, in Hell where Thou dost lie,
Vanquished, silent, dreaming eternally.
Grant that my soul some day rest close to Thee
Under the Tree of Knowledge which shall spread
Its branches like a Temple overhead.

I'm not planning to use this live so that won't be an issue. Any ideas on running the multi fx direct into the amp (ie not in a loop)?

THanks for the replies btw.

hmm -what sort of multi fx would you put before an amp, why not the fx loop?

My parrot will kick your ass

I was thinking a Boss ME-50, and it'd be in front because there is no fx loop on that model. I'm worried there will be a lot of noise on hi gain settings...
