I really really love my Silvermachine MkII wah. I've gone through tons of wahs before deciding on this thing. It's extremely musical on all settings and has a wide range of tones.
Surprisingly, I also dig the weeping demon, even though it's one of the cheapest wah's available. I still use one for practicing and jamming at home. The "bass" setting is fun for riffing down on the B string. Here's the silver machine: ![]() -W |

my only problem with the slash is the distortion circuity, while nice for a boost during a clean solo/lead piece, is virtually useless with any sort of gain. |

I've had a Bad Horsie 2 for over 5 years now, and for the rare occassions I do use wah (I'm possibly the exact opposite of Kirk Hammet) it serves me perfectly. Plus, I have other pedals and my amp for lead boosting, and I hate the sound of lead tones Schenker style, so the switchless design is superb.
My only issue at the moment is that its not MIDI controlled, so I'm looking into the best solution for controlling in a rack that doesn't require an extra foot pedal (whats the point in a rack wah that you can only use a standard 1/4" pedal, just like you could with a pedal in front of you instead? Good old Dunlop....) Still, a highly recommended wah, never found a need for any other since I got it ![]() |

I personally like vox wahs, they have a nice full sound and aren't too screechy (is that a word?
).
So much gear, so little cash ...
