![]() ![]() ![]() | right with my 707's the higher notes (past 12) on the g-b-e strings seem to be really weak wether tapping of alt picking , while picking i can barely hear the note over the pick noise, i put this down to the amp but when i pluygged into my old fender 30 watt i had the same results tho slightly inproved because well to be honest the vk has so much bite the prescence is on like 3 if u get the time please alt pick very quickly on the 17th fret high e and tell me what u find, i think passives are far superior still i ruined my guitar with these EMG's and got a shitty amp too (the VK) so basicly my tone sucks like a grandma on eggs..... but thats not the point Lookin forward to some replies Shredding Isn't Music..........Its Awesome!!! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | i had the same issue yesterday and being a long time emg user, i just knew something wasnt wired right in it. You should beable to tap the string and it should sing. Everything was wired up and looked great, but the insides of the capacitor must have had a short or something, because when i would shift it around, you could totally hear it kick in. So i replaced the capacitor and it was all good. If you ask me, something isnt wired correctly or you got some bum cords or something. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'd suspect internal wiring, external wiring (cord), or your battery. Either way, it should not sound the way you're describing. |
