Shipping guitars

So I will be taking a flight from Phoenix, AZ to San Antonio, TX and I need to ship 2 guitars there (in cases, obviously)

So I take it that this is a good way to go about doing it?
Shipping a Guitar

And I will be shipping a Loomis and a Seagull acoustic of mine.
Any extra tips you might have? And I've never done this before, so how much do you think this would cost?

Edit: Apparently it will cost about $35 each, according to that site. Is this fairly accurate?

That seems about right on the shipping could be more or less...but in that ball park Id almost think less due to the distance. Guitar center is a easy play to score box's most the time, the acoustic you may want to loosen the strings but the electric should be fine. The climate is similar from where you live to where its going. Hop on USPS or UPS to get an idea Fed ex even just to get an idea of price.

Hope it helps some

Anyone have any experience with certain shipping companies like Fedex, UPS, and USPS? Any preferances?

Ive used each and everyone and Id say the post office seems to do a good job for a little price....UPS has been known to fuck with shit but that was a long time ago. Fed Ex also is pretty good as well.

Just make sure your goods are well packed.....and everything should be fine. The last guitar I shipped was a USA Custom ESP M-II and I shipped that to Finland with the post office and it arrived no problem.
