![]() ![]() ![]() | Lead Pedals I need something to boost my lead tone a bit on my VK112, im looking for some pedals to create a more interesting lead tone suitable for vai/satch type stuff, cause the amp is boring me a little bit. A few things I was thinking about was the mxr Dime Distortion pedal, to use as a boost and for some tonal variety in my distortion, lead and rhythm. Also the kerry king EQ, or the standard if its as good. If they are good/usefull at all. I'm also looking for an effect pedal of some kind like a Delay pedal, not sure what though, any recommendations would be good but i'm not looking for high dollar stuff. Just hit me up with any combinations/recommendations you could think of for me to have some fun with my setup (EBMM JP6 and VK112) |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Also, you can fatten up your lead sound with a phaser in your FX loop. Works better if the loop is adjustable. and the Maxon OD-9 will forever get my vote for OD kickyouintheface awesome-fest. my mother.... she never loved me. She always says she wishes shes was a raped by someone else ~Borat |

![]() ![]() ![]() | a boss delay could be handy. i love putting delay pedals set REALLY low, so you can barely hear the delay, so it sounds like super cool reverb. ...Each guitarist has an evil fat 40 year old blueswankler trying to get out, If you give in to temptation you'll be sitting next to a fender playing john lee hooker while trying to keep your combover in place. -Desecrated |

![]() ![]() ![]() | I used to have an OD-808 but I sold it for guitar funds , sold my wah pedal too. Both weren't nececarry at the time but now they would be great for my JP6 .Does anyone know of any distortion pedals which colour your tone a bit more IF you want it too? Thats why I was thinking about the dime distortion, to have a second tone to mess around with. There was some other metal pedal people were reccomending here too, Digitech mabye? |

![]() ![]() ![]() | I have a hell of a blast with my EHX big muff, just click over to the clean channel and have it set for kind of a thick overdriven fuzz. The muff with a wah is the guitar equivilent to heroine. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Ah one of the pedals I was thinking of was the "Uber Metal" from line-6, ive heard good stuff about it on this forum, but im still skeptical when it comes to a foot unit "making" your tone. Is it good for leads or just a rhythm thing? Also, it looks like it can be used for direct recording, so mabye something I could use to lay down some basic rhtyhm tracks when I want to show off my playing , I havent been able to record anything sinse my v-amp died, and even then v-amp = the lose. But back to the lead thing, the boss delay pedals are good? I'll look into those. Need something for that liquidy tone first though, does anyone know anything about the dime pedal? |
