A shocking story :

You guys won't believe what happened...
I go to the UPS warehouse to pick up the amp. The UPS dude tells me: "Go at the loading duck, i'll give you your package".

Ok, so i park my car and wait at the dock.
Finally, UPS dude arrives with my package at the edge of the dock...

AND FUCKING DROPS IT!!!! A 6 FEET FALL ON THE CONCRETE!!!!!!

I immediately starts screaming at the dude, who's staring at me, saying nothing! Grrrrrrrrrrrrr. I tell him he has NO freakin' clue how fragile this thing is, especially the 2 sets of tubes that came with it... Moron.

I ask to talk to his boss pronto.
Anyway... Freakin' long story short : the boss puts a note in my item's "file" and give me a number to call if there's anything.

... I get home and open the damn box... To realize this was packed like it costs a million bucks, thanks to the seller. The amp is in a box twice its size, with 3 layers of bubble wrap and filled with tons of foam nuggets. Fffffffffff.... I start feeling better. Tubes are also triple-wrapped... And they're all in perfect condition. The amp has NOTHING visible, no bump, no scratch from the fall, nothing. The box absorbed the whole shock.

Now, i'm waiting for its User Manual, wich Marcus from VHT will send me tomorrow.

I don't want to fuck anything with it and handle it very cautiously (who knows if i'm going to like it). I guess i'll then see if the amp suffers from anything from the fall...

I'm in no rush, so while i receive the manual, here's a sweet pic for those of you that are more in a hurry than me.

Gorgeous, congrats! I'm glad it survived that huge drop, I was cringing while reading that, but then was relieved after.

Why are you waiting for a manual though? It's a fairly simple amp bro. You plug it in, make sure the tubes are securely in their sockets, and turn the amp on and play. If you really need something to refer to, you can download the manual here or of course talk to me in private.

I'll say it one final time as I'm sure you're sick of hearing it by now: that amp has the finest cleans I've ever fucking heard. You're one lucky dude. I hope you have a lot of fun with it man! I'll be subscribing to this thread for sure.

I went on that link yesterday and there's not much info for me to find.
I mean I wanted to triple-check tubes placements and all but i haven't found that info. All of the tube amps i've played before were already set-up, i've had nothing to do. I do believe i've put the tubes all in the right spots... But who knows, i'm a tube-a-home noob.

Thing is... I've plugged it, everything lights up nicely and no sound comes out... But i can tell it's working (like i raise the volume and can hear the amp noise increase)... So that's the reason i'm waiting for the manual, to make triple-check i've set everything right i'm quite anal with my stuff). I'm just wondering now if it's the amp fall on the ground that causing this. Stupid question : does a tube lights up even if it's "dead"?

Oh and it's not on "standby", it's not the cable, and i've rolled my guitar's volume up.

Anything you could say to help me verify would be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried toggling the Effects Loop "in/out" button?
