Vetta combo...to sell or not?

i recently got a mint vetta combo with all the latest software additions and what not, and after some days tweaking....i cant seem to really like the sound it produces..... maybe i need to tweak it more, and i will also try to swap the speakers with some eminence modeling 12's....but so far i think that my gnx3000 's tones with a bloody murder on front is very superior in feel and sound....maybe it's just that i've had the gnx more time to mess with it but anyways.....what do you guys recommend...keep it or sell it...if so, how much would be a good price?

you've only had it for a few days, i'd give it at least a month.

it took me a veeery long time with a few EQ changes (and eventual swaps) to get my JSX to where i want it.

then drew came along and posted some beastly clip of a rectoverb.. jerk..

in short, i vote spend more time with it. isnt there lots of options for tweaking it?

3 cheers for free gear!

waaaaay to many options, yes.....but my main gripe is in the feel of the sound coming out of the speakers......it feels a lot more stale than the models on the digitech...let's see what happens when i put the eminence in there

Actually, back in the day when I was using Line 6 gear I found that V30's really make it sound better. They added some much needed color and character to the tone. I don't like V30's with anything else.

how about some swamp thangs ......in my limited experience i find eminence to have a smoother sound, more pleasant to MY ears. Also higher wattage might help don't you think? the stock celestions the vetta has don't do it for me

Did you buy it new or used? Sometimes new speakers tend to have a very "stiff" and lifeless feel to them and need a good flogging to break them in before they start sounding natural.
