Looking for a blues-tone pedal

well, i've got my Sovtek Mig 100H, with the best cleans of all my gear (including a Mesa Nomad, Epi Valve Jr). with it, i've got a Bodenhamer Behemoth mod DS-1 which gives me some pretty wicked Sabbath tones. so now, i'm looking for an inbetween. of the overdrive pedals i've got, a Maxon OD808 and a Digitech Bad Monkey, both sound thin. of the pedals i don't have, the Boss SD-1 and BD2 Blues Driver sound the most interesting.

i'm thinking that i could get the Maxon modded by Joe (

) anyway, to make my Nomad that much cooler (since i always run it infront of the Nomad).

thoughts?

if its blues you want, the Boss blues driver I think would be the best option.I have one(keeley mod) and I just love it, really.

the blues driver was good, i had one for awhile but any ts is better. get a bm or a modded ts

I have a few tweaks I can do to make it a lot more bluesy as well.

oh, i think i shall

i was listening to some old stuff last night, and i think the tone i'm really trying to hit is that Fairies Wear Boots type of sound. kind of a warm overdrive, but not an over-the-top distortion, you know? something that still pushes, but is warm.

...now, i should point out that with the Behemoth DS-1, turning the volume down on the guitar gives a pretty sweet, juicy blues tone in itself. i just want something i can instantly click over to
