Need help with POD XT LIVE!!

Hey guys thanks for the help;

ok so i got a Pod XT line hooked up to my PC via USB. How do i get the sound for the pedal to out put through my sound card and to my speakers?

I have my guitar hooked up into the input; i have the gear box software installed on my pc with the drivers for the pod xt installed and recognized in device manager.

What am i doing wrong?

I think the issue is with my sound card out putting the info? Eck i thought this would be a bit easier.

Hi Samer,

I never owned a Pod XT Live, but have used a Toneport, and a Zoom G2.1u which were both USB.

When a USB audio interface is hooked into a computer, the sound will output from the USB device. In this case, your POD. There is no way to route the audio thru your sound card, because, the POD is basically one big external sound card.

What you have to do is plug your computer speakers, or indeed, an amp, to the output of your POD. Then you have to set the computer to output into your pod. To do this:

(On Windows)
Start->settings->control panel->sounds and audio devices.
Click the "Audio" tab. Under "Sound Playback" select your Pod as the default device. Click ok. You may also set the computer to record from your pod by setting the "Sound Recording" default device to your POD.

Hope that helped!

-Mick.
