![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The quest has ended! (For now) Well, I finally got the last two g12-85k's in the mail yesterday, superbly packed and got off harmony central (the place is good for some things!) So now, 4 are mine, all going to be loaded into one of the orange cabs (the slant one) and then fired up and see what they sound like in a non-marshall enclosure! The VHT sounds ace through them, as does the triaxis/rivera, but I am curious as to how they'll work with them in the orange enclosure! And no, no real pictures as i can't find the charger for my camera, and pictures of speakers are fairly dull after all... |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I know, they are awesome, but an absolute bitch to find over here in the UK. I lucked out and someone had two, but the other two i got from the states (postage was more than the speakers hahahaha). I just wish they were more commonly available, as if they sound good in the orange, then I may want to try and get another 4, even though v30's are usefull... Sound sample wise, I can't really crank and record at home unfortunately :/ I love these. I tried for months to buy a cab with them in, but the owner wouldn't sell, so I may just try and see if he wants to do a speaker swap instead for v30's. Anyway, sound wise they are apparently supposed to be like the mesa c90's. However, I've never really had c90's, so don't know. But, as to how they sound, well, bell like, clear and crisp are things that come to mind. It has a certain chime to it that cuts through and is very tight and precise, no mid range honk, and leads just sing through them. Basically, i really really like them from my experience with the "magic" cab hahahaha! I'll be putting them into my orange and then dragging that to rehearsal (which will hurt) then I will know ![]() |
