CLIP Attempt - Cobra Lead Channel (Ibanez RG7420 stock pickup VS Dimarzio Blaze)

m saying goodbye to my cobra in about two days...and i havent really been into micing up amps/recording (mainly use Vamp2) but im starting to get into it.
anways i only have a crappy AKG mic and sweet FA experience with micing tehniques but i decided to record some clips comparing the stock bridge pickup of my Ibanez RG7420 and after installing a dimarzio Blaze 7.

First time round is stock and 2nd time is dimarzio blaze.
NOTE: i managed to be an idiot and slice my right hands index finger right open and bled like a mofo whilst installing the blaze. so the playing is more crapola for the blaze compared to stock as i couldnt hold the pic like i normally do.

theres 2 short clips...one is of Dream Theaters "Lie" and the other is of Unearths "Big Bear and the Hour of Chaos"

recording was done in a hurry and i wasnt trying to nail the tone ...just wanted to se if there was any diffrenmce between stock pup and blaze.
same settings for both clips...(Framus Cobra Lead Channel + Framus CS2x12 cab + Crappy AKG mic)

dtrax is a jewel in the rough
I thought the Blaze sounded better on the Unearth song (tighter/articulate) and the stock PU's worked better on the DT song (meatier/mas huevos).

BTW, the Cobra sounds mean as shit.

thanks guys...but please dont take this clip as any indication of how the cobra sounds like in person...my mic placement technique and double tracking needs a lot of improvement,
i really should invest in a pair of sm57s thou,

thanks for listening, i myself cant really hear the diffrence in the recordings from stock to blaze however can defnitely tell when playing in person, the blaze is definitely more crisper/and non muddy compared to stock.also it sounds/cuts great for lead playing which is where shows the most diffrence.
now gotta gets me an air norton7 for the neck

Pretty cool! Though to be honest, I couldn't hear a huge difference, even though I know from my own experience that they sound way the hell different. Might be my speakers. The amp sounds pretty good, though!
