Well... I sold an original marshall 100w super lead head from 1969 to buy PRS's for cradle, which i ended up selling as I didn't like them. I could have just bought 2 beat up ibby's for way leas and kept the marshall. I did have an FX loop put into it though (kind of blasphemy to some)... I turned a profit from when i bought it, but it's the biggest selling regret I have.

wow, that sucks. I've never played a prs that i'd actually play metal on. maybe some rock and roll but prs just don't really do it for me. Did you go the prs route because the other guy was endorsed? or did you just want to try them?

I sold my 1998 Parker Fly Classic to finance the purchase of my JP7. Great guitar, but with me now playing mainly 7s, it didn't get the play time it deserved.

The guy i sold it to has owned several Parkers over the years, and he said that the blue Classic i sold him was hands-down the best-sounding Parker he had played.

Well, I had a load of 7strings at that point and not really any six strings. I also sold a UV as well (but it's in a good home!) and got the PRS' on a deal as it just seemed like non-floyds would be easier on tour. To be honest, I just wish I'd bought a load of clapped out ibby RG's and toured them to death as I ended up just not gelling with one PRS (it sounded horrid, hollow with a nasal touch) but did like the black one I had, but ultimately just ended up loving the RG every time i played it.

Shame, as I could have got away with selling the UV, and keeping the plexi. I've been wanting one again ever since, especially now I have a power soak!

Anyway, live and learn.

And yes, PRS are just not great at all for metal, just too warm sounding...
