VHT Pitbull Forty-Five 1x12 Guitar Amp

Anyone tried one?

I remember 1 post or 2 about it here... But the search fucntion is beeing a bitch right now and i can't find the info i'm looking for.

I might be able to score one of these locally and i'm wondering if anyone here has any thoughts on the little amp... Like how does it sound with a boost up front, etc. It's described as a "blues" amp, so i'm wondering how much gain it has on tap...

Thanks for any info!

Zim said it's still got the Pitbull balls to it. I don't think it's really just a :"blues amp".

I'd imagine it's pretty sweet; EL84 chime with the Pitbull bite.

If that is based on the Pittbull/CL, then it should be a pretty cool combo.

pittbull 1x12 combo site:sevenstring.org/forum - Google Search

I love the sound of EL-84s. The Mesa F-30 was one of the tastiest-sounding amps i've played to date. I'm very curious about the VHT Pittbull Forty-Five as well, but they're hard as hell to find.

The one in the pic is a 50/12. The 45 has a tube rectifier, and the 50 a solid state one, if that makes a difference to you.

I'm about as cool as a fart in a space helmet.

Yes, it does. Thanks for the info.
The one i'm looking at is the 45. The picture in the 1st post is the only "decent" one i could find, so i thought it was the same...
I wasn't really aware of the other models. My bad.
