![]() | Seymour Duncan SFX-04 Twin Tube Mayhem? Effects Pedals - SFX-04 Twin Tube Mayhem - Seymour Duncan/Basslines Anyone tried this pedal yet? Seems to be pretty badass, Im considering getting one to run in front of my Valve Jr. I imagine it would sound better than the Metal Zone im using in front of it now. The Metal Zone actually warms up and fills out pretty nicely with the VJ and sounds pretty good with the right settings, but I know there are MUCH better sounding pedals out there. I actually tried the SFX-03 Twin Tube Classic in front of a VJ at GC one day and while it sounded pretty badass, it didnt quite have enough gain and was exactly what the name implied, geared toward classic/hard rock and the such. So i figure maybe the SFX-04 might be what im lookin for. Any input? Thoughts? Opinion? |

![]() | It sounded kinda off to me, like it was scooped to all hell... ![]() I've got the Valve Jr. as well, stock except for JJ's, and I got the Damage Control Solid Metal. Plenty of gain to be had at bedroom levels, and if you dime the VJr. and crank the level on the SM to about 3 o'clock, you actually have to back off the drive to achieve metal tones. In other words, it has a stupid amount of gain. ![]() Plus it's $55 less than the Mayhem if you order it from AudioMIDI. LOL @ the avant-garde camera angles of that clip. ![]() |
