There isn't a single piece of music gear that I've ever financed. If I cannot afford to pay for my hobbies in full, then it is a hobby I cannot afford to have. There have been several occasions where my savings toward a piece of gear had to pay for an unforeseen emergency, and while I was a bit bitter at the time about it, I was always glad that I had several hundred (or more) in savings, rather than another monthly bill.
Thanks but as I've said I don't need people telling me what to do in regards to this. I made a thread asking a simple question and got an answer -- no need to browbeat me regarding my own spending/saving habits. I wouldn't have proposed such a question if I wasn't financially prepared for it (ie, you don't know my life circumstances and right now none of that applies to me -- losing job/eviction/etc).

No negative feelings, I hope that's not how I'm coming across right now. If it is, I apologize in advance because that's certainly not how I mean it

I hear what you're saying Justin, places like AMS have allowed me to get things I otherwise couldn't have afforded. Often due to credit card limits. Even if I had the money and knew I'd have the money to make future payments, AMS payments made it possible.

To answer your question though: no. If there was another place like AMS that offered simple no-bs payment plans like that I'd probably know about it. I'd recommend against paying full price for an ENGL though anyways, just not worth it IMO. I'd wait for one to show up on eBay or something. I'm not telling you what to do, just advice from someone who's owned 3 ENGL amps in the past.
