Avatar contemporary cabs?

Has anyone played through or owned one of these? They look orange-esk and the wood seams thick as hell, but how do they sound. I know they wont be as great as orange but shit for 500 less they might be the ticket.

From what I understand they're built almost identically to Orange cabs and sound just as good. The difference is you're not paying for a name.

really.... the orange name always kinda differed me b/c the people i knew who used orange where post-rock kids. damn... Might have to pick one up.... soon....

They play excellently

They weigh alot, but not as much as a sizewise identical orange. I think the baffle and stuff is constructed differently, And i think the oranges use thicker plywood (13 ply iirc) but both use voidless baltic birch

Still great cabs. If you dont want a vader, these are the best cabs for your money under a grand imo

Yea, they're not going to sound EXACTLY like an Orange but the difference isn't worth the price difference IMO. Some prefer the Avatar over the Orange and visa versa so the price difference may be a total waste of money depending yon your tastes. The Avatar is well worth the price!

if i can find a steller deal like matt was offering on an orange ever, id snag it, but otherwise, im picking up one of these
