Cheaper footswitch for ENGL FIREBALL?
Last night I ordered the almighty ENGL FIREBALL and I wanted to know if there are any footswitches that can work all of its functions without ripping me off at the cash register (i.e. ENGL z4)

i think you can use any standard footswitch with the right amount of switches on it, as long as it has the stereo jack thing going

I tried a Peavey footswitch with my powerball thinking it would be the same as the Z-4 and it's not. Engl does something different.
Look for a used Z-4. Engl footswitches are built really well and worth the money. |

Mine is a cheap-ass plastic "Daphon" footswitch(~11$ new). Most two button/guitar jack out footswitches will probably work - but you should give them a try first if possible.

Yeah the wiring is different, I'm currently using a krank pedal (borrowed from our other guitarist) to switch my master volumes, but I have to jiggle the jack around for it to work!

i'm using a self-modded randall stereo footswitch with LEDs. The standard marshall valvlestate stereo footswitch also worked.
Any stereo footswitch with toggle-switching (not momentary!) will work. |

The Fireball really broke the bank so I'm glad there is something cheaper out there then the Z4 |
