Need Recommendations for tube amps

Hello Everybody.
Well in a few monthes from now I wanna get myself a tube amp...Problem is I dont really know which one I should get .

I play mainly Deathcore and I'm looking for a crunchy yet very heavy and clear sound.
The best example for what I'm looking for are the folowing bands.

Chimaira

Bury Your Dead

Nevermore-Ambivalent
I think you get the idea

I thought about a few amps...Tell me what you think.. I wanna buy a head and a cab...
Genz Benz El Diablo
Rivera KR7
Laboga Mr.Hector
Mesa Boogie Dual Rectefir

About the Cabs I didnt really knwo which to get..I think I'll just get the same cab as the head...But What about those Vader cabs are they any good?

Thank you very much!!!!!

A 5150/6505 will always fit the bill, especially for that style, as would a Dual Rec.

Personally I'll never stop recommending Engls, but not everyone loves them, Loomis has just switched to them though, if you didn't already know.

In terms of Rivera, I don't know how similar the KR7 is to the Knucklehead, but I really did not find the Knucklehead to be worth the hype. The cleans were good, but the higher gain channels just sounded like a generic hot rodded Marshall tone to me (although I'm a hater of all things Marshall, so that might explain that).

The Laboga I can't really comment on as the closest I've been to Laboga is Behemoth on stage (and I think they were using the cabs only), however some of the clips I've heard have been fantastic, and there are a LOT of people recommending them.

You tried looking at Randall too?

Just say no to Genz Benz. It's a combination of all the worst things a 6l6 platform has to offer.

my mother.... she never loved me. She always says she wishes shes was a raped by someone else ~Borat

I'd think for a Nevermore-styled tone, a Dual/Triple rectifier into a Vader cab would work great.

The 5150/6505 in either normal or II/+ can be a very awesome amp for what you are looking for, but they need to be matched to the right cab or they sound like dog testicles. I find they like a darker cab. Also be sparse with the EQ, and careful with the presence level.

I know a good portion of Nevermore was recorded with a Peavey Triple XXX or Ultra Plus. They have a higher frequency I personally don't care for though, and also like darker cabs.

I can't say anything about the Rivera KR7 but i really liked the K-Tre 100. Its kind of Marshally in flavor, but different enough that it has its own thing going on. On the right settings it was really smooth and articulate, but still had the chug when you need it.

As for Mesa, well they earned thier repuation for a reason. No worries there.

An Engl Fireball might do you really well, especially if you are concerned with price. The Powerball is a love or hate thing. and any thing above that is pretty much safe.

Laney TT series and the VH100 are pretty cool aswell. Tey have the british flavor, but are still voiced differently than Orange and MArshall, the TT50/100 can sound pretty recto like if you tweek it right.

As for the Genz Benz El Diablo, I would honestly rather be playing a Crate solid state head. They sound A) more tube like B) more clear c) less fizzy/buzzy, and if you are familiar with Crate you already know those are things they are famous for having in spades.

A Framus Cobra would be a great call for you I think. Very aggressive, but extremely tight and clear as well.

The Dual/Tri Recs are great amps, but need a lot of tweaking to sound good. You'll get alot of people saying they're muddy, loose, and over-compressed, but dialled in just right, they are tight, ballsy, clear and dynamic.

If you can stretch to it, the Diezel VH4 and Herbert are the fucking balls for tight, clear metal tones. Very different flavours, but both most awesome indeed.

I never found the TT to be remotely recto-ish...closest I could get was sort of mid-gain power metal, even Iced Earth or Nevermore levels was beyond it in my experience...

still, there's a good chance you tried something I didn't

What would help out a lot, is if you would give us your price range. If you have problems dumping a bunch of money into your gear, I would suggest you buy yourself a vht ultra-lead, a vader cab and a bloody murder. I promise you will never hear a more defined, clean, articulate, brutal, pummeling tone. A little pricey, yes, but well worth it.
