Depending on how much yours willing to spend, i would look into ENGL's Fireball/Invader/Savage/Powerball, Soldano SLO100, Splawn Nitro.
+1 I thought the 6505+/6505 smoked the dual rec I tried, for articulation and tightness. Could've been bad valves though. I've heard a few times that rectos must be cranked.

Thanks alot!

If VHT, then the Pitbull Ultralead is the one. Put it with a bloody murder and it just sounds ace. It won't get you the chimera etc tone though. However, be warned, VHT's are very very unforgiving amps. If you play well, it'll sound awesome, play badly, and well, it'll sound like turd. THe VHT gain is very very dry, but that is quite a good thing. You also won't find masses of bottom end on this amp, but again, if you have a bassist you really don't need to worry about this.

5150/6505 BIAS MODDED, yes, they are fizzy on their own, but get a bias mod done to it, and then this amp absolutely slays, it's aggressive and peels your face off. Chimera use the 5150's, and put them through mesa cabs, as do machine head. 5150's and v30 speakers = good. The 6/6/6 setting is fun, gain on the lead about 4ish, sounds absolutely savage.

Otherwise a dual rectifier is good as well.

As for ENGL, no idea, but they seem to be more compressed tight amps ovberall. A lot of people like them, but they are more focused. A lot of the sound described is very 5150/dual or triple rectifier.

...and you have to know how to tweak them. If it was running on the spongy mode and tube rectification, it will be quite loose, but when you have it on the bold mode and diode rectification, that's when it starts breathing metaaaall

The rectification- and the spongy/bold selectors are both on the back side of the amp, so a lot of people don't even know that they excist, and thus assume that the amp is as loose as it is on tube rectification/spongy mode.

I think the sounds described are pretty much what the Rectifiers do, so a Dual or a Triple Recto is the way to go.

I am a bit biased when it comes to ENGL, but in my opinion the Invader 100 is my personal favourite ENGL head. You don't need to make any compromises with tone when you have one of these.

It has the best metal rhythm channel I know. Very articulate and tight, yet organic and no fizz at all. But you can get a lot of different, killer tones out of this amp no matter what your tone preferences are.

Thing is in my band we play alot of very fast riffs with alot of notes. So I need an amp with a clear tone...Yet heavy crunchy and metal.

So I'm really confused I dont really know which one to pick.
The VHT has only one problem they dont a have a dealer in my country where I'm staying right now so I cant really hear it.

About the 5150 mod,How do you mod it? and where?

What are the best options for the sound that I'm looking for(Chimaira,Bury Your Dead etc) Alot of diffrent opinion here...But what are the top 5 amps for this??

Im really confused...

-Mesa Dual/Triple Rectifier
-Peavey 6505/5150
-ENGL Invader 100
-VHT Pitbull UL
-ENGL Savage

Any one of those amps will get you that tone, some of them are more versatile than others, and of course they all sound different from each other, but anyway, there you go.

Yeah, VHT is hard to find, I had to buy mine blind, but am glad i did! It is a bizarre amp to start off with though, it's so tight you just notice so much more that you need to fix in your own playing!

Also bear in mind CHimera have gone through a phase of loving the bogner uberschall too.

Anyway, the 5150 mod is really simple, you change a fixed resistor in the amp (10k) for a 5k + variable 10k resistor. It's a simple qiuick job if you know what you're doing, and allows you to bias it hotter. It is very very simple.
