![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Boss GT-Pro vs G-Major I seem to be having some issues programming decent patches with the G-Major. It also seems like it completely sucks the life out of my tone. I imagine it's mostly due to me not being familiar at all with the interface and how to program it. I am familiar with my GT-6 and how to program patches, so I'm just wondering how much better the effects on the G-Major are in comparison to the GT series if at all? I might snag a GT-Pro so I can still control everything with my MIDI controller up front and not run a bunch of cords. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I was gonna say, the gt series are a MAJOR pain in the ass to tweak, but if youre familiar with it, the GT series are the only multi fx processors ive ever gelled with. I dont have much experience with a Gmajor though to compare to Reverse Headstocks or Bust Dude...i just got a spam email that was titled "Funky date rape trick" -Zepp88 I just got another funny email "Her pussy smiled at me" -Zepp88 Don't tell me you haven't heard of Raptor Jesus It's important that you know this information :headnod: It will decide your fate when we are pwned. -JoeOvChaosI was going KAT KAT KAT KAT and you were going KAT... chk... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Tweaking I'm not so good at, getting usable tones is easy though. I just don't have a fucking clue what I'm doing on the G-Major. I read the manual and tried, and the factory presets don't rob me of as much tone, so I know it's my own ignorance which pisses me off. I know they're quality units, half the people here use them and love them, I guess I'm just not getting along with it. The GT-6 is easy to get up and running, but there's so much shit you can tweak that I just say fuck it The EQ'ing shit especially. |

I bought my GT-8 without a manual and I learned how to tweak it just fine. ![]() The Boss GT series has really nice effects and if you're comfortable with it I say go for it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | remember that the G-Major patches are 'stock'ed in at -6db, so it will color your tone a bit. when you bump that level to 0db, it'll be clear as a bell ![]() I have a radical idea. The door swings both ways, we could reverse the particle flow through the gate. We'll cross the streams. |

Also, I upgraded the software on the G-Major to get the dry-kill function, and basically, I can't hear a fucking thing when I turn it on Any idea what that's about? And if I turn up the patch to 0 db, will it start clipping? |

Once my brother finally wakes up (if it's not too late) I'm going to try out the 4 cable method on my GT-6 and see if I like that, so I'll try fucking with the output levels on my patches and see if I can avoid spending MORE money. |
