What would one of these things do to an Epiphone Valve Junior? (5 watt Class A one-knob vintage tone machine?)

It's a matter of taste. But most people will put them in front.

Just because it's called a 'Tube' screamer doesn't mean you HAVE to use it with a tube amp. I put my Bloody Murder in front of a Marshall MG100DFX 1X12 combo amp with the drive on 0... And MAN it made the amp sing! Cleaned it up, added a bit of clarity and made it nice n' crunchy! The mids were smooth and pronounced, and the low end gained a tight punch.

You shake your ass but you're already dead.

but just one question, does the BM tighten up the low end like a regular OD pedal?
sure does.

my bloody murder reacts the same way as every other tubescreamer-style OD i've used, except it has waaaaaaaay more gain on tap, more bottom end is let through (not loose tho, keeps it tight) and its brighter and clearer sounding.

That was GAS, I forgot to say excuse me!

In all seriousness, the esteem it receives here tickles me for a try myself. It's a little hard to get a good assesment without trying it out, tubes or solid state.
