From what I've read it doesn't matter what model you have, if it doesn't have 2 S-DISCS already you can add that in there. Once you do that and upgrade the firmware to the latest the only thing different between them all is the color of the faceplate.

Correct. Keep in mind though that the PPC210's are hard to get now, and as such:

PPC210 for Digitech GSP 2101 GSP2101 PPC 210 upgrade - eBay (item 160233789482 end time May-04-08 10:34:17 PDT)

They tend to go for about almost as much as you can score an entire Artist for.

Yea, they're pretty pricey. I would've figured that the limiteds would go for more because of that, but they're not. I got mine for $358 total with shipping and that's including a foot controller. There's another guy selling just his 2101 limited for $350 with nothing else. Seems like I got a pretty good deal.

Yep, that would be my friend selling his "other" one. I'm picking up his 2101LE & the Control One.

Out of interest, what power supplies do the 2101s use, are they internal or external? Just for future reference if I ever want one, wondering whether it'll be worth importing or not

I was looking thru an old Guitar magazine last night and ran across the ad for the 2101. It said that there were cabinet models to choose from. I figured that the 2101 probably had cabinet models that it emulated, but I wasn't positive and it was a minor thing that had no bearing on whether or not I got one.

However, I'm curious about the cabinet emulator on there. What do you all think about it. The one in the Digitech GNX4 is great. I can really dial in my sound exactly the way I want it. Is the 2101's emulator pretty good? What do you all think about it? What parameters can you change on it?

the prophesy is a great preamp /w fx
you can get really close to a tube preamp with a little tweaking and the fx are great
i still prefer my piranha+g major though

The emulator on the 2101, in all my years of fiddling, is useless imo.
