NGD! 2 pics

So, up until yesterday I had been using a GNX1 that I had picked up from my local guitar store for $90. It was a pretty sweet pedal, I used it in front of my live rig for effects and at home for practice.

I started getting the itch to do home recordings again, this presented a problem. The only way to do it was from the headphone jack into the soundcard of my computer, and it created some less than desirable sounds. I started to miss my old PODXT Live I traded to 7StringOfABlick. It was awesome, the amp models, the USB connectivity, the PC editor, etc...

Then, I remembered. The very same local store had an old Digitech display that they took apart and sold off the pedals attached to it. They had a Digitech GNX3000 sitting there. So, I traded in my GNX1 and my shitty squier strat and got a bad ass pedal.

I've got connections at the store so they hooked me up. The pedal didn't come with any of the stuff it did new. They did throw in a power supply, and I had a USB cable sitting around. I downloaded all of the software and manuals on digitech.com and I'm set.

This thing rules, it has so many fucking options. It actually has XLR inputs and outputs (and a bunch of other connectivity options, way more than the XTLive) for live Pa stuff, recording vocals, and using a talk box effect. It also has a bunch of bad ass bass amp models. Not to mention, the hypermodels capability.

The only problem I have with it it when I switch patches, there's a delay where it cuts out all noise. I can figure out a way around it though.

There's still a ton of shit I have to learn about it, so I'm off to keep reading the manual.

Oh, and my new daughter Madisyn is doing great.

I played through TDW's GNX3000 and it's a pretty sweet unit.

Thanks guys, she is awesome. She doesn't cry that much either, it's pretty sweet.

I love this GNX, I'm so pissed I didn't get one in the first place.
