Ooh, that TCE unit looks sexy. I think most of their stuff looks neat, though. Got any clips by chance?

Yeah see the key thing for me was that I needed a preamp AND effects and I don't think the distortion/od from the Nova System would cut it for me. If I had a nice tube amp setup, I might be looking at the Nova System though.

I need to borrow your girlfriend for a day My wife makes me pay for all my own shit. I need her to make the payment for the upcoming SE acquisition then you can have her back.

In the meantime you can have my wife in trade. She doesn't usually buy gear but she makes quite a bit of money, can cook really good, and she's hot.

Deal?

correct there are analog ovedrives and distortions on the nova system but nothing high gain that will do metal .its not really a preamp its more of an fx's device to be used with a dedicated seperate amp as u say a good tube amp .

the boss gt 10 looks really nice i prefer that look to the gt8 apparently people r saying it sounds better and its easier to opperate ?

If the Nova System is really meant to be used in front of a good tube amp, why didn't they make it possible to use their distortions in front of the tube amp's preamp and the other effects in the loop?

yegh i see your point darren, but the interesting thing here is wether u use the fx's in front or in the amps fx loop its still sounds great .ive never had a processor like the nova system that sounds good infront of an amp this one really does .but as ive said im using my engl amps distortion so the nova system has to be placed in the loop so i can use the distortion and nova fx's.

That's tempting but I'm going to pass for the time being!

Because then you would be paying half price on something that is almost a G-System other than the switching. I think they did that on purpose to keep the guys who want all the functionality of the G-System in line for the G-System instead of jumping ship and buying the cheaper model. A few guys that played around with the Nova System reported that the distortion and od on the Nova weren't the greatest and still preferred their own individual boxes for those duties still. It seems like a really nice product regardless but to me it makes me wonder why they did a few things the way they did on the Nova System.

After playing with the GT10 over the whole weekend I have to say I'm pretty happy with it! I can't wait to get it hooked up to my cabinet!
