Mesa Rectifier series info?

ok, I'm doing a research project about guitar amp development and in one section I'm focusing on certain influential amps in rock music. The rectifier series obviously being one, but I'm struggling a little to find detailed information on the development of them. There's no books on mesa history like there is for fender/marshall/vox etc, and I can't find much useful info on the net.

Bit of a long shot but does anyone know of any useful places to get info from? I'm thinking things like interviews with randall smith/other big mesa people about the development of the amps, articles that talk about the rectifiers impact or any other interesting information? The only good resources I've found have been focused on the mark series!

Thanks!!

Have you checked the actual Mesa/Boogie site? There seems to be a lot of information in there

yeah, there is some good stuff on there, but I'd really like some direct quotes from the people behind the amps to supplement my research..., talking about stuff like the challenges involved in the design, reasoning behind elements of the design..things like that.I've been able to find some good interviews with other amp builders about the other things I'm looking at, but most of the interviews I see with randall smith involve regurgitating the same story about how he got into amp building!

Call Mesa. Seriously. Those guys love to talk.

Division - American metal that doesn't suck. Much. Even on MySpace, and Soundclick, too.

Mike's suggestion is actually a reallly good one.

Also, I know George Lynch used an early prototype on Sacred Groove, for "Love From the Mama Head," which given the title should tell you what he thought of the thing. There's a bit more info on his site.

metalheadpunk will become famous soon enough
there is some good info about the reason certain design decisions were made in the manual that comes with (at least my) rectifier heads.
