![]() ![]() | Suggestions for a cheap but good sounding poweramp The title pretty much says it all. Seems I have a little more money in the bank than I thought I would after my last check from Hardee's haha. You know what that means: GEAR! In this case I'm thinking of getting a good poweramp to replace my current Crate GX1200H, which may be transparent sounding but it sucks with dirty modes and has a broken channel switch, which I'll probably fix before selling it. So, what do you guys think would be a good power amp for around $250-300? I don't care if its used or new, tube or ss, anything works. Also, how would I go about setting one of these babies up with my GNX3 and speaker cabs? Also, if I were to get a 2 channel power amp and my bassist wanted to use one half of it to power his cab and preamp, is that possible? I probably won't use this method much but he's kinda lazy when it comes to getting equipment and needs an amp, and if I can get a 2 in one that would be even better! We're getting the band back together and some new gear might help motivate us to take this further. I'm assuming he's going to want to mass produce these rack pies, and why not? I love racks, I love pies, so put them together and you have pie covered titties. - JJ Don't thank me, thank the wombat rapist. - Jamie Mah Deviantart Myspace The Many Faces of Egoraptor |

![]() ![]() | best but is a peavey 60/60. but you need either a stereo cab or two cabs. also the carvin t100 is cool. can run 50 watts stereo or 100 mono. both under $300. dont let the 60 watts of the peavey fool you , it is loud enough for just about any situation. |

![]() ![]() | I have 2 cabs so the 60/60 would probably work great. I'm not worried about too much power haha, I'll probably be practicing in a basement and playing small club gigs most likely so I don't need too much right now, and 60 tube watts is plenty loud. |
