as has been said, something like a tube or something went out, and it took a fuse out on the way down. Most likely, not a big deal

sorry if I'm stating the obvious, but make sure the impedance setting (ohms) on the head matches with the cab, and of course never turn the head on unless it's plugged into the cab... good luck, I hope it's just a fuse

I'm almost certain it's a fuse problem dude, so don't worry too much about it.
The exact same thing happened to the other Guitarist in my Band's 5150 when he first got it & that was the fuse on the back panel, we replaced it & it's never happened again & that was about 7 years ago.

Alright guys, I've just talked to the tech, and I fucking fried the board, he got it fixed and should cost me like $80, phew, that's a relief knowing what was causing me this problem, my band's gonna start recording this Sunday, so just in time for the recording sessions.

Yeah unforunately 6505+ and 5150IIs are known for that. They use some cheap part in there, and it goes early, happened to me about a year after i got mine, but i didnt ever crank it to any live levels till then. My tech said once it gets replaced and fixed it shouldnt be an issue again.

Another problem that is common is the standby switch dying out. So beware of that aswell!

I've never heard of anything like that & I've been using 5150's exclusively for almost 10 years now.
Must be the New Amps that are being built.

yeah but just replacing the fuse would solve the problem b/c fuses blow for a reason. take it to a tech.

The tech told me that, somehow the amp overheated and it burnt the part of the board that sends voltage to the power tubes, he just wired the circuit directly to the fuse, apparently it wasn't running thru the fuse idk, but he told me it won't happen again lol, that's all that matters to me
