I say what you should do is save up for either of those pickups. The new Schecter models with the Blackouts are coming out so you should be able to try those out fairly easy, and that'd probably save you a couple bucks if you like them and you wouldn't have to do any modding really.

I'm assuming he's going to want to mass produce these rack pies, and why not? I love racks, I love pies, so put them together and you have pie covered titties. - JJ

The C7 FR is kind of a rip since the new C7 HR FR is coming out and it is supposed to cost less than the Loomis. It has a real Floyd trem (yes they are worth it compaired to the licensed) like the Loomis, and those new coil tappy 7s. If you don't care about the trem go with the normal, or the Blackjack ATX.

long story short:
C7 FR = shitty pickups + shitty trem
C7 HR FR = awesome trem + nice pickups
C7 HR + BJATX = nice pickups + nice fixed bridge.

(disclaimer on Trem systems: I don't even like trems, but I don't mind them if they are a real Floyd or Kahler ONLY! They seriously make that much difference!)

Headroom is essentially dynamic response (more headroom=more dynamics), also it reffers to how hard you can drive something before it distorts. Things with lower headroom distort hard-clip easily (which soiunds terrible). Having more headroom alleviates that.
