![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I don't have a UL, but I much prefer my CL/100 over the powerball I had recently. Throatier midrange, tight, and like someone else said, the gain can be piled on and it doesn't over-saturate or get muddy. it's weird. it's VERY VERY VERY pickup sensitive. I have to use completely different settings almost for each guitar i own. It's somewhat annoying, but each sounds distinctively different and equally pleasing once dialed in. I've never tried an invader, but as of now the only amp I'd step into would be a UL or SigX. With that said, I LOVE EL crunch, and that's why I decided to go ahead and get the CL like I did. I don't think you can go wrong with either amp, honestly. I think it'd be worth to to check out a newer UL because you could sell it and buy another invader back anyways. it's fun to switch amps every once in a while. Ramen! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Crazy Joe, don't get rid of that Englz! But, do find some other means of getting a VHT if you think you'll like it. Now, I've never played a VHT, but those babies do inspire some serious GAS in me, and I very nearly bought a UL myself at one stage, I believe it was the very one James has now that I was after. That SigX looks extremely tasty too, and nowhere near as expensive as the UL is around these shores either. I actually wouldn't rule out the idea of me owning a VHT somewhere down the line. |
