I'm not sure what they run for out there, but a used Single or Dual Recto may be a good match, if it's in your budget. They're not known as lead amps, but I'd attribute that more to user error.

I haven't played the VH100, but I really liked the GH50, especially with a boost. Sounded really nice, though I must say I like the Blackmore way better. It's one of the nicest amps I've played. Really versatile, it can do all kinds of sounds very well.

I doubt anyone will back me up on this, but have you considered a Madison Divinity? The new Divinity III is roughly a grand I think, and it's a true 3 channel amp unlike the one I had. Mine worked great (no reliability issues), sounded really crunchy (no boost neccesary) and had lots of clarity. Solo tones were dynamic, warm and full. It's also got a very nice clean channel. If you want to hear what it sounds like I'd check out the band Aghora, they have a few songs on their myspace, and the tone on that is pretty close to what you'd be hearing.

i say get a 6505+ or 5150 II(same amp), here in the US they run about 1100 new and 600-800 used usually. i dont know if you ever played on one but in my opinion they are an improved 5150 (more articulate, even tighter, slightly smoother, has independent EQ for both channels and adjustable bias) and the clean channel is actually clean and not bad at all in my opinion. some people may disagree with me on those points, but thats my 2 cents. or as others have stated, the jsx has 3 great sounding channels(clean, rhythm and lead) and can be found used for decent prices usually
