![]() ![]() | I owned a los lobottom, they add a lot of tight bass to your sound but, they overpower your amp easily and if your using a mesa, it will be bass overkill times a thousand. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | what about a Los Lobottom with an Engl and a bright cab? you can dial down alot of the low end, and with a bright cab and bright amp, you can make it nice and balanced... and doesen´t the signal run through the sub first, and then the frequency ranges split, so the sub only handles the low end, and the cab only handles everything from the low-mids and up? anyways, i´m betting it´s very sensitive to amp and cab choise, as a dark amp with a dark cab won´t do well with more low end :P -------------------------------------- Æn Æppl Æ Dæi, Kiips De Dåktor Awæi |

So if you want one you have to find a used one. The only proof he needed for the existance of God was music. Kurt Vonnegut Jr. Without music, life would be a mistake. Friedrich Nietzsche |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I used to run my preamp out to a Carvin bass amp with a graphic EQ. It was pretty inexpensive and porobably would work with any bass amp that has a power amp input. Plus, it won't drain your power. ![]() |

![]() | Yeah it sucks the Rivera Sub's are discontinued. I was really wanting to invest in one, so now I'll have to keep an eye on the used market. I've only heard the ISP Vector SL's in person live when Fear Factory came to town a year ago. They sounded pretty massive. They are big and heavy from what I've heard, but have a true cross-over in them so you just plug your head into it and then into your 4x12. That was the downside to the Rivera's. Unless you have a Knucklehead with the Sub out, there is no cross-over in them to seperate frequencies like the Vector's. Some people that have owned both prefer the Vector over the Rivera's. The nice thing about having the Sub's, is the wall of sound you'll have. Once dialed in properly, your rig will never sound the same without them. Nice and full, and tight. I plan on getting one once the funds are in place. Probably the Vector SL. |

![]() | I've played on an ISP Vector, but it was the 12" version, and not the 15"... Still the 12 kicked serious ass!!! Funky Monkey Music is just up the street from me. I hooked it up to a ENGL fireball, and went speaker out into this thing... I was blown away! The isp chokes the power from the amp, and uses it's own amp. The vector uses a xover of course.. I plan on buying a 15 when Ih ave 1200 bucks... Stephan carpenter from Deftones was so impressed when Fear Factory let him borrow theirs that he ordered 4 of them. If you ever have a chance, check them out... Funky Monkey is here in kansas, so if you have a chance, swoop by cause i don't know who else sells them |
