Ostia Man is on a distinguished road
If Im not mistaken, the guitar players from "in flames" run the pod xt pro in the loop of the 5150 for cleans, and of course the preamp for dist

the solution

to get the best sound out of a 5150- take the green channel - dime everything and run a tube screamer- totally don't use the red channel- I learned this from Inflames and Machine head- it's how they get that sound. get another amp if you want a clean channel- or run a pod through an ABY switch.

I was thinking about doing something like this so I could run a 'clean boost' Tube Screamer in front of my Triple X, but bypass it for the clean channel...hmm....

Dammit, I'm gonna have to draw myself a picture.....

just stick the TS out front, and then position the TS above your clean channel button so you hit both things with one push.

that's how i used to run it, before i just left the TS on all the time lol. my clean channel isn't quite as clean anymore, but that's how i like it lol

3 cheers for free gear!

hmm.... this is interesting

i'm now considering ditching my g-major and build myself a loop selector to do this with my pod for cleans on my fireball. I don't really use FX on distortion sounds anyway. Plus, this way i get to switch everything with one click and don't need to turn my TS on/off
