Guys, I'm insane with sound. I bought this pedal as I've always had EHX stuff in the past. Insane with sound meaning that if I find a pedal is degrading my tone that much, it goes back where it came from.

I had this hooked up to my mesa recto preamps shitty parallel loop, with a holy grail reverb EXH as well. They sound stellar. The key is to use the mix button on the pedal sparingly. You just want a hint of delay and it sounds awesome IMO. Now the problem was this.

I had to turn the pot up all the way on the mesa for the efx mix. Otherwise I'd get volume drops engaging the delay pedal on and off. with the mesa, using this parallel mixing pot, it steals your tone and saps some gain and the harmonic richness of the recto tone. But, not as bad as I thought.

So I highly recommend this pedal. I had all the boss pedals back in the day. They are good, but the shit you can do with this thing is amazing. Store frign presets, 16 second recording loops (doesn't sound the best) but if you like to have a little crazy sound echoing or droning or fading in the back while you play on top of that, it's good. It's not going to take a 16 second rythm track and let you solo over it with studio quality results, but it's alright for using as an effect for the background (the loop that is).

I get flange sounds out of this, chorus and bizarre sounds that aren't yet in the effects dictionary.

Granted I sold my mesa shit as I want something with midi capability, but I'm keeping this delay pedal and the holy grail reverb. I think folks often make the mistake of using too much effect. I don't remember if the boss has a blend or mix, but this does. I keep it at about 10-11:00 and it sounds stellar.

Kevin

GUESS WHAT I'VE GOT? Fitzgibbons 5000 ultra synapse accellerator which allows me to think faster than the masses and phase in and out of the matrix at will.

yeah, not too much excites me really pedal wise. I was betwixt and between this and the boss delay which I had before. This does delay and a whole lot more. It was 2 hondo and on the way home I'm like "I just spent 2 hondo on a fucking pedal" and was sort of pissed at myself. Well 3 hondo with the holy grail reverb. I also highly recommend that one. The guy sort of talked me into it "it's the best reverb pedal there is" and all that. So I actually went to Guitar Center once and was actually happy with my purchases. It happens every once in a while. .

$200 isn't bad at all when it comes to quality delay pedals. if you ever want to check out the most insane delay ever look into one of these...

Pigtronix Products - Echolution

if $ was no object, i would own one already... i just can't justify $500 for one pedal!

holy shit at that pigtronix pedal!

DD7 looks sweet. I thought the DD6 was pretty damn cool already after watching Gilbert shred it up on Get Out of My Yard.

holy fuck!
