No, they're interactive - the higher the setting of one, the less effect everything behind it in the tone stack will have. I hate to say it, Nick, but, um, read the manual.

Seriously though, it'll actually help you a lot to understand the amp.

when i tested out a dual rec, i didnt have much trouble finding tones i liked on it.

it wasnt as cranked as i would have liked it to be, so the controls werent as interactive as they would otherwise be, but i found that dual rec pretty easy to navigate.

maybe im just great at EQ'ing!

aah i crack myself up

3 cheers for free gear!

Oh I've got this thing dialed in pretty well right now, I was just curious.
I actually spent a good amount of time going over the manual when I got
it and set everything to 5 (except the bass(9:00)) and went from there.

I might have enough time to record something this weekend, I've been
working on "Jaws of Life" and I found a backing track for it so I might give that a whirl.
I've got his tone dialed in somewhat well , I figure WTF? why not give it a go.

Can I be the devil on your shoulder?

Hey pulse you'd probably faint if you saw my eq job on my amp.

Treble: 5
Mid: 10
bass: 3.5
Presence: 10

And almost all the patches on my multi-fx unit has the mids boosted as well.
