Hooray for the $325 5150 II!!



It was a tad dirty. But a little windex cleaned up the dust and I brushed the knobs clean. Plenty of dust inside but i'll clean that up later. There were plenty of soda stains, or at least what appeared to be dried up soda. Which may hint as to why the amp stopped working in the first place...

Time to take it to my tech!

Tube amps are normally easy to fix up, dpeneds on how much the parts end up costing man, but if it's a minor fault, then you just got yourself a steal!

That sounds like a very cheap fix to me. Heaters still on would indicate the power still works (ie, no blown power transformer), and he'd have smelt a burnt one.

I'd have a sneaky look to see if it didn't just blow some fuses

In any case, as long as it turns on and doesn't start billowing smoke, it shouldn't be too bad
