A thick tone from an Engl Invader?

Wassup fellows?
A dealer in israel announced they are bringing engl amps.
So now i started getting my intrest on them.
Well there is sort of invader hipe in that forum and i know there are several people who use it here, i know the invader is realllyyyyy versatile, but will it do thick tones too? which engl on the engl line will do the most thick tone and less mid scooped?
Im thinking towards the savage too.
Ill be happy to hear your opinions...
Trippled.

From the research I did before I bought my ENGL and the clips I've heard, the Savage has a more pronounced mid voicing as does the Blackmore.

The Invader is VERY thick and I haven't played them all but the verdict is it has the most mids of all Engls.

sonofabias is on a distinguished road
+1 to that and I recently put an eq pedal thru the 150's loop(yesterday) all I can say is that every chann. went nuclear, tight, crisp ,and brutal like I never thought it could be.I'd never used an eq. pedal before, never wanted to but, hearing is believing.

Well there are couple of questions id like to ask:
1. Will the invader be able to produce tones like sikth, dream theater, stone sour(dont like them, only their tone)?
2. Ive noticed that the savage has more voicing modes than the invader which has only a bright switch(which i wont use) and a lo\hi gain switch, so are the invader's 4 channels voiced so differently so they suppouse to cover the sounds the savage would produce with his mode switches? How different are the voicingsfrom channel to channel and which type of distortions can i achieve?
3. Whats the thing everyone say about the 150 version being less better than the 100 version?
4. Whats the difference beetwin the savage's midi interdace and the invader's midi interface?
5. Would you say there's a chance ill be able to get a dark and even loose tone from an invader\savage?

Thanks everyone!!!

I've never played an amp with channels that are so different from each other. It's really like having 4 different amps in one. To me channel 1 is SPARKLING clean like I've never heard in a high gain amp before. Hit the high gain switch and it's in light drive blues territory. Channel two is old school hot-rodded Marshall. Channel three is the best modern high gain tone I've ever had the pleasure of playing through. Channel 4 reminds me of something between a recto and a JCM2000. Modern and THICK!

The bright switch only works on channels 1 and 2 on the 150. My favorite tone on my 100 is channel three with the bright switch engaged. Without that I don't think I'd like the amp near as much. You can get better tone at lower volumes with less wattage as well. I think 6L6 amps sound better with more headroom but EL34s are a different story.

Dunno, never messed with the MIDI on a Savage.

The Savage is SUPER tight and the Invader is probably the loosest amp Engl has ever made but with the ability to tighten up if needed.
