High-wattage speaker suggestions

Hey kiddies,
I'm currently using a an old-school Sheffield-loaded Peavey MS412 cab. It's cool and all, but after 20 years of gigging, I just hate hoofing a 4x12 around. My plan is pick up a pair of 2x12 cabs by Avatar or Freda. I dig the Avatar Contemporary series & the overall design of the Fredas. Anyway....

I need to decide which speakers I wanna load them up with. I have several in mind, but I'd like to get some opinions from those who've used these speakers. I like high-wattage speakers (100+ watts each) for the headroom & super tight bass response. I also like high sensitivity ratings for their higher & clearer output (perferably over 100db @ 1w). I HATE speaker breakup. I like them to be super clean & be able to take all the low end I can throw at them & have a sweet upper range. Basically, hi-fi. Not overtly piercing. I do NOT like Vintage 30s for this exact reason. And while the Electro-Voice "Black Label" EVM12L might be a great choice, they weigh 23 lbs. each & I don't want a super heavy cab. As much as I gig, portability is a welcome trait. So here's some speakers & combinations I had in mind...

1) Eminence Swamp Thangs (150w)
2) Eminence Tonker (150w)
3) A mix of Swamp Thangs & Tonkers (150W)
4) Celestion G12T-100 (100w)

Any thoughts on these speakers? Any recommendations not listed? I'm-a listening!

You could try the G12K-100s. I use the '85s, and they don't break up until you slam the crap out of them...

Division - American metal that doesn't suck. Much. Even on MySpace, and Soundclick, too.

would recommend them too - tested them once in a diezel cab, and this was some super tight low-end and also very hi-fi sounding to me...but dont know about the weight.

They're not 100w but still super tight and clear, high output (102Db I think) : G12 Century
The other thing : they are ultra LIGHT, thx to the neodymium magnet.

I love the sound of the 85's, if the 100's are anything like them they'll sound ace. Being a UKer I have very very little experience with eminence speakers as it's pretty much all celestions seeing as the factory is in england! (Plus saturation of marshall cabs)

I think the rivera cabs use them, and you could always try out an orange HP cab to see what that's like as that has the 100's in it.

JesseTheMachine will become famous soon enough
I just built myself a cab with Swamp Thangs and V30s in it, but I wired in an option to run just the Swamp Thangs through one channel, so I can comment on how they sound independently.

I think they're probably exactly what you're looking for, they have a ton of bass response and upper mid clarity, really quite a transparent, smooth sound.

I'm always a fan of mixing and matching speakers, so I'd vote for the Swamp Thangs with Tonkers. I would have gotten that but four expensive Eminence speakers was two too many for my budget, so I got some WGS Vintage 30 replicas instead.
