![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | H&K Switchblade I played one of these at Guitar Center and was really impressed with the clean channel...it was glassy and had a lot of sparkle, sounded really good! I found this video on youtube Sweet clean channel, right? It sounds great IMO. I didn't know H&K was german until I watched that video, btw. I started messing with the dirty channels and they sounded good, but I didn't really have time to dial them in, however oh my god the amp sounds awesome in this video Dynamic, fluid, woaaah! Anyone have any opinions on this amp? GC had the head brand new for $999, it seems like a really good deal! Should I spring on one? I want to go back and try to get some tight sounds out of it, but GC is an hour away from my house ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I tried one extensively and if my wife didn't walk in and talk me out of it I would have bought it! It's not my Engl Invader and I really don't have a use for it but it was a KILLER amp for the money! Extremely versatile and it can get br00tal! I'm not a tube snob so it doesn't bother me that there's some diode clipping in the preamp (no way can you get that gain out of two tubes) but being a fan of solid state and tube distortion I was really impressed with the combination! |
