yeah ive seen them go stupidly cheap but i really cant justify getting one atm as much as it pains me... as i'd need to pick up a power amp for it too i doubt the one on my piece of crap Marshall MG combo practice amp would do it any justice whatsoever although if you could hook it up direct into a venues PA like i do with my POD
that'd certainly make it worth while until i found a nice power amp

I like SikTh a lot too. They should get some seven into their sound, some lower riffs would add brutality to their work.
Cheers man!

Dude, they tune pretty damn low on some songs - down to Ab for Bland St Bloom/Summer Rain/Sanguine Seas/Part of the Friction..

Mr. S, the MG comboes arent bad amps. great practise amps IMO (once you hit the 50 and up).

why not run the 2120 into it? it has an FX loop..

3 cheers for free gear!

yeah its certainly not a horrible amp ive had it years so i doubt id get rid of it unless it broke, i use it mainly for band practice so it does its job

thing i really need to find out is how are the 2120's pre when used for metal? because i cant think of any heavy bands that use them live in this context, only as effects units as far as im aware (like sikth do, though they might use them for cleans for all i know) maybe if i ask PeteyG nice enough he'll record some examples of one

Not gonna be anywhere near my digitech for a while, atleast not long enough to sort out some sounds to record it direct anyway as a non-effects-loop-only sort of way. Sorry man, I'll get on it ASAP though.

And on a different note, Nolly, you back in the country mate?

I could potentially do some, as Pete's is sat in my rig at the moment... although i've not used it at all. Still getting my teeth into all the stuff my Gmajor can do. And I figure if I don't use the 2120 and get good sounds out of it, I won't GAS for one of my own!

I should probably replace what I said by: since they play so low on 6's, they should get sevens.
