I can't wait to play with it! It should be much better than the fuckin Digitech TwinTube I've been playing with.

its the only piece of gear that i've ever tried that'll give me the sound i want out of my amp, and the gain is phenomenal, you'll want to sell all your pedals. I did.

That's a fantastic price. I love the prices for rack pieces now that almost no one uses them anymore!

My Chameleon cost me $700, but that was back in early '97 when I bought it. It was discounted down from the original $1100 because the new Chameleon Online model was beginning to ship.

I don't understand why rack mount stuff has fallen out of fashion.....must be the "OMG VINTAGE" "movement" ...

I like nice racks

I hear ya, and honestly I believe that the effects on the Chameleon are awesome. I mean there isn't a huge variety but theres enough to get any signature tone out of it and even a few weird ones. The quality is crisp and clear aswell. Best $175 i've ever spent. I can't believe all the money i wasted on buying those shit-ass Boss pedals. ew howcan people endorse that garbage.

So do I, eventhough I've never even used any rack gear before. I just love the way they look.
My guess would be that rack gear is out of fashion now because modelling amps are getting cheap and they have pretty much everything built in. But who cares, that just makes rack gear more accessible for those who actually like them
I'm probably gonna start building my rack next week. I decided that I'll make a metal frame to which the gear will be attached, and then I'll simply build a plywood box around it. The only problem there will probably be to get the covering material between the wood and the metal without making holes in it. At least it's gonna be a pretty damn sturdy box, I'm sure.
