![]() | What is the difference between tube poweramps and non-tube poweramps? I was looking on americanmusical to see what types of poweramps there are and they had some cheap ones like the behringer euro-something. Lots of watts...like 700. All the reviews were good and they said it was clean. But then I look at some tube poweramps and they're like 2 channels, 50 watts per channel. Are they the same things? And I don't know exactly how poweramps are used. Can someone explain that to me? |

![]() | Ugh... That behringers are not guitar poweramps. You can use it with guitar, but then dont expect it to sound good. A dedicated guitar poweramp, either tube or ss is more preferable. I'd get a tube one ![]() |

![]() | I always have trouble finding poweramps that aren't UBERLYEXPENSIVEandTUBE. It's actually sort of frustrating. The cheapest guitar poweramp that I've seen or heard of is the Carvin TS-100 or something like that. But that's tube. What solid state guitar poweramps are there that are cheaper than the Carvin? I'm pretty sure the Carvin is $500. |
