Recommend me a good wireless
Well, I am playing a festival in greece as a guest muso next weekend (the 7th march, March Metal Day) so am thinking of getting a wireless to use instead of messing about with ridiculously long cables and to make freedom of movement possible

So, a good wireless, that's reliable, well made (it's getting flown and manhandled if i get one) rackmountable etc.

I want one of those new X2s, since I keep reading good things about them. Mike has a Sennheiser that kicks all sorts of ass, but I don't know the exact model.

It's not much help for a gig next weekend, but I emailed X2 a while back about buying their systems in the UK and they told me they're working on it for release this year

If you can find a used Sennheiser Digital 1000, go for it. It's the X-Wire (the original 16 bit wireless that the guys who started X2 made, and then sold off) in a smaller box. I love mine.

Otherwise, try the Shure UHF models, like this one. Our bassist has one, and I'm pretty impressed by it, although I still think the non-compander digital systems sound better.

Division - American metal that doesn't suck. Much. Even on MySpace, and Soundclick, too.
