Soldano Avenger 100, going for a stupid price... Should I?

Ok, so some of you guys might remember that last year, I was considering getting this amp, because there was a second hand Soldano Avenger going for a fairly decent price in a shop in Ireland. Well, they haven't been able to sell it, and they've got a sale on now, and they've dropped the price a staggering amount. Just phoned them there, they still haven't sold it, and they'd ship it to me free of charge to boot.

The price is nothing short of absolutely staggering. I mean it, it's crazy-stupid cheap. Especially considering how much Soldano heads cost around these parts, so I'll give you an idea: SOLDANO AVENGER HEAD 100 - Irish International Cyberstore for e2111 new. This Avenger, is going in the sale, for... Are you ready for this? e745.

That's pretty astonishing no matter how you look at it, and seeing as I've only just sold my Fireball the other week for that very amount, I could snap it up fairly easily.

But, the question is, should I?

Well, the reason I'm asking here is, I don't know if I just want it because it's cheap. Would I be getting it for the price alone?

I'm not a gigging musician at the moment, so I've no need for a backup.

well have you played it? im yet to hear a soldano that doesnt sound at least "pretty damn good"

Yeah, I have played it. It sounded good, but on the whole I wasn't too impressed.

you could buy it to sell it on for a profit

and if it takes a while to shift, well you just have another nice amp to play through for a while

Yeah, I wouldn't be up for buying and selling it on for a profit, considering that this shop has had the amp for quite some time, and after a number of price drops, still hasn't been able to shift it. As well as that, I bought something before, with the idea of selling for a profit, and I got absolutely stung up the ass, wasn't able to sell it at all.

So, I'd either buy with the intention of keeping it, or not buy it at all.
