![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | NMD (56k = 10% THD @ 1kHz) I piled in a bunch of overtime a few weeks ago when all hell broke loose at the shop. Boss told me to turn in the OT for a change so I had some play money... I've been a good boy waiting patiently for this to arrive... ![]() New boxes demand the SS.org salutation of metal win. ![]() The selection of opening instrument must be obscure. ![]() Butler's Thief FTW! ![]() Foam peanuts, definitely not metal (that's good though right?!) ![]() The little tease starts the reveal ![]() NT2A FTW! ![]() Bubble wrap......we'll play with that later. ![]() She looks good in black (sucks a $500 mic doesn't come in a clam shell though) ![]() ![]() Matte nickel goodness! Options out the ass. Omni, cardioid, figure 8, -5/-10db pads, 40/80Hz hipass ![]() ![]() Hit a midnight madness sale last week and these were going for $375 so I couldn't pass it up. Been wanting one for a long time. They had SM57's for $88 bucks too but an old standard like that didn't deserve a pic story. ![]() |

![]() ![]() | Yeah, let us know what you think about it. I got to use something fairly similar for vocals/lead guitar a few months ago, and enjoyed the results. Your ass here! |

) but I've used a Rode NT1 that my co-recorder owns for most of our previous projects. The NT2A has a larger diaphragm, more options and is review to be even sweeter sounding than the 1.We've used the NT1 on everything from cranked 4x12 cabinets, sweet acoustic guitar, vocals, drum overheads, room ambiance, crystal clear Fender twins, you name it. It's always come through. I'd need to brush up on the technique a bit before I was comfortable posting anything and I can't see having time for that any time soon...... ....but hey! it was a great deal! ![]() PS - The buddy with the other Rode has been talking about laying some tracks in the near future so maybe we'll give it a go before too long. | |
