ok that was a good amount of rambling. IMHO they are great practice/apartment amps.

I already have the Danalectro Fish'n'chips, wich is a little gem! So the accessory part is fulfilled!
Now : i'm not much of a really high gain user "death metal style", but i've always wondered how much gain these have on tap.
Any of you tried the amp with a boost up front? (TS or else).

What settings have you been running with the fish n chips? I'm always looking for other settings to try

I've used more fuzzes than anything in front of it and it handles them well. It likes my rocktron silver dragon, but thats not much of a boost...For some reason I don't own a TS, but I have a pcb for making one...guess I just haven't gotten around to making it.

I have one of the nano muffs, which is more of an overdrive. I'll play around with it tonight and see what I can get. I'll also see if I can snap some pics of them...for some reason I don't have any.

Edit-great now I'm looking on ebay for a TS...I'm eying a couple attenuators as well

I'm really tempted to get a head/cab VJr and run a Bloody Murder and THD Hot Plate with it so i can drive it really hard and keep the volume reasonable.

The funny thing is the hot plate would be more expensive than the amp and cab!

I only use a Korg Toneworks or a Danelectro Overdrive, with the toneworks, I've gotten some brutal tones

Oh.

Nothing special, really. I use it in the loop for an extra "oumph".

A carpet?
At the price the F'n'C is, it shouldn't be a problem. They're actually quite cheap.
