it should be able to. especially if your cab doesnt suck and your guitar is decent.

I'd boost the snot out of it with a TSovChaos or bloody Murder to insure death metal sounds

If you like Obituary or Death's late 80's Death Metal tones.... These are very "Modded JCM800" type amps. I wouldn't expect modern brutal DM tones out of it. You'll also probably need to boost it with an overdrive(which I would do no matter what amp you get).

just about any moderate to high gain tube head and the right tube screamer/ overdrive can get you into death metal territory.

so my answer is yes!

50 tubes watts can be VERY loud. and it will most likely sound better at lower volumes too.

ed: nope, i havent. i use my TS in hot mode for my "gothenburg death metal esque" tone

travis, who cares how many tubes it has? that's a 50W head - it's not quiet!!!
