Ibanez 150 Watt Head Advice Wanted

Basically, I have no money. And i've been looking at the 150Watt Head in the toneblaster series of Ibanez Amps.

Anyone putting in recommendations, or is it a no-go?

For the most part I play Progressive Metal, like Dream Theater and Evergrey.

If I shouldn't touch that, does anyone know a cheap way to get close the Mark IV/Mark IIC+ lead sound?

All help appreciated

The Toneblaster is really bad, the other guitarist in my band has one, and it seriously sounds so dire its unbelievable. I never knew an amp could sound that bad. Its just harsh as hell, Metal Zone kind of territory, and has no tonal qualities at all from everything I've heard through it.

For that kind of sound, the only thing is to scour eBay for Mesas, hell you could get closer with a Pod than with that thing......

i think the closest you could get to that on a fair budget would be getting a used dual caliber-, f-series- or mark iii head.

cheers. I'll have a look at mark III's.

I just had a bit of trouble finding places that sold older mark models new. I'll have a look on ebay though.

Or just dig into my pockets, get a mark IV, and not eat at all for the next month

Crackers, glorious crackers!

Or there's always going to friends and raiding their fridge, but I would recommend finding many, many friends if you were to do this!

But yeah, if you want to get that sound, look no further than the source I say!

I'm assuming he's going to want to mass produce these rack pies, and why not? I love racks, I love pies, so put them together and you have pie covered titties. - JJ

aye. T'is looking like ground beef is the future for me.

I'm looking into getting a baritone 7-string as well, so ground beef will be something to look forward to

my friends have less money than me, so stealing from them is not an option.

I've heard subway usually have unused supplies at the end of the collective day though....
